Energy Production
Clean, renewable energy to power homes and businesses in the Americas for a more sustainable world.
The Earth is overheating and at Interenergy we are convinced that all of us can contribute to keep global warming below 2 degrees with respect to pre-industrial levels before the end of this century and, if possible, limit it to 1.5 degrees.
To achieve this objective, the main tool is the energy transition, that is, to change from an energy system based on fossil fuels to one with low or zero emissions, based on renewable sources.

As the world’s energy needs grow continuously due to population growth, it is essential to continue trying to transform the current energy production and consumption model for a more sustainable one. Achieving a low-carbon economy that is capable of meeting the needs of humanity and keep global warming below 2 degrees with respect to pre-industrial levels before the end of this century, requires a transition in which natural gas can play a relevant role.
Gas, as a clean, flexible and competitive energy, emerges as the perfect partner for renewables and the most realistic and sustainable option until they reach further development. The International Energy Agency and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) pointed out in their report “Perspectives for the energy transition” the importance of natural gas in the energy transition to guarantee system flexibility in the energy sector and replace traditional fossil fuels. Gas can act as a bridge for a greater use of renewables.
At Interenergy we are we’re in the process of converting our HFO plants to gas to contribute to the energy transition.
