The Quilvio Cabrera Wind Farm, located in the southwest side of the Dominican Republic in the provinces of Pedernales, in Juancho, is the first wind farm in the country.

The Quilvio Cabrera Wind Farm has five (5) Vestas V82-1.65 MW wind turbines. The wind farm has an installed capacity of 8.25 MW, generating at 600V and 60 Hz.

Quilvio Cabrera constitutes an important contribution to the diversification of the country’s energy generation mix, producing 8.25 MW of green or clean energy, and helping the Dominican Republic save around 45,000 barrels of oil every year, and avoiding the annual release of around 11,000 tons of CO2.
