Jamaica Energy Partners

JEP is the largest independent power producer and the second most efficient power generator in Jamaica, with 190 MW in total aggregate capacity, consisting of two power barges totaling 124MW and an onshore plant of 66 MW.

The company sells power through two well-structured long-term PPA’s, which expire in 2026 and 2032. The off-taker is Jamaica Public Service Company (“JPS”) a private utility owned by Marubeni of Japan, Korea East-West Power and the Government of Jamaica.

Recently Interenergy bought the company JPPC increasing the installed capacity to 250MW.
