Jorge V. Jasson
Jorge V. Jasson is a founding member of InterEnergy Partners, and the Managing Partner of Jasson & Co. an investment and advisory firm he started in 2003 active in private equity in the United States, Latin America, and Europe.
Mr. Jasson is a Director of InterEnergy Partners, InterEnergy Holdings, IEH Investments, and of the operating companies of the InterEnergy Group.
Prior to his involvement with InterEnergy Partners, Mr. Jasson was a founding partner and the Chairman of Dolomite Capital Management, an Emerging Markets Fund of Hedge Funds started in 2005 and sold to Ashmore Group in 2008.
Mr. Jasson joined The Chase Manhattan Bank from Citibank in 1985, and worked for Chase and its successor JPMorgan Chase, throughout various mergers and combinations uninterruptedly until his retirement from JPMorgan Chase in February 2003. His assignments included positions in Argentina in the corporate finance group, in Brazil where he ran the firm’s Merchant Banking Group for two years and in New York for most of his career.
In New York he ran the firm’s Global Emerging Markets Division and he managed the International Fixed Income Division. He had responsibility for all non-‐US risk taking, capital markets, underwriting, credit risk, sales and trading, and research. His portfolio also included management of the local markets business in currencies, derivatives, credit spreads and bonds everywhere outside the US. After the merger with JPMorgan in 2000, he retained global responsibility for Emerging Markets and co-managed non-Japan Asia until his retirement in 2003.
Mr. Jasson was a member of Chase Manhattan’s Policy Council reporting to the Vice Chairman from 1996 to 2001. He joined the board of Chase Securities Inc., the US broker-dealer of The Chase Manhattan Corporation, in 1997 and served until 2002. From 1996 to 1999 Mr. Jasson was Chairman of the Emerging Markets Traders Association.
